Preparations are under way for the start of Keynsham Town’s 2019-20 campaign following their promotion to the Toolstation Western League Premier Division last season.

These days there is little “time off” over the summer for those involved with the club. The players have already reported back for pre-season training, and their schedule of friendlies before the league campaign kicks off on 3rd August is already in place.

Off the field, there have been some important committee changes at the club. Long-serving Club Chairman Malcolm Trainer has been rewarded for his loyal service to the club by becoming Life President. Adrian Cole steps up to the Chairman role from Treasurer, with Terrie French joining the committee as Treasurer (in addition to her sterling efforts in the tea hut on match days)!

Adrian Cole said” We understand that a big part of football’s popularity comes from the joy of being part of a community: a team, a town, a social network, or the wider sporting community. Following on from the success last season across the club, we are looking to build even stronger links with local businesses and the community.  Every match day the club welcomes supporters to the AJN Stadium from around the country, and we are looking at a number of opportunities to help support businesses earn some additional well-deserved publicity and support the development of the club. If you are interested in taking advantage of one of our advertising, hospitality or sponsorship packages for next season then get in touch for more details”.

Club Secretary Julian French added: “Season tickets are now on sale for our first Premier Division campaign since 2006. Adult tickets cost £80, which represents a good saving over the 20 home league matches we will have. Under 18s remain free of charge, and tickets for our more mature supporters (65+) cost £55. To encourage as many Ks fans to Crown Fields as possible, we are also offering an “early bird” discount on these prices up to 31 July”.

More club news, including new player signings and the August Premier League schedule for the Ks, will be in our August issue.
